crunch time
z is half way through his a levels
we've never had to tell him to revise: he's just been cracking on and getting it done
almost the opposite of me when i was his age
i wasn't a model student that teachers wrote high praise of in my school reports: i FAFO my way through: i didn't revise and didn't get good grades
i just about scraped a desmond at the polytechnic of central London by 1994
z tells me 'things are different now'
which is always true: nothing ever stays the same
but our pride in seeing, and respect for z working so hard remains constant
