the toad relocation program
Lucy found a common toad early this morning
we decided to take it to the pond a field away (to stop the cats from killing it...as, ur...might have happened earlier in the week)
me, Lucy, maximum (aka toad handler) and snoop trudged across in our wellies
(snoop does not have wellies)
took some pictures and returned home

putting away the Tupperware we had used to carry mr.toad to pond, we found mrs.toad

feeling guilty for splitting up a happy couple, we re-booted and walked back to the pond with mrs.toad
and back home again
mark, nina, mum-mum and dad-dad came for lunch and mark gave me some first aid teachings
my brother and my dad have been in the Red Cross forever and i grew up around resuscitation dummies (does this explain anything?) and first aid classes
in fact, i was even in the Red Cross juniors as a kid but i have managed to retain ZER0 first aid skills or information
which needs to be redressed, much like dad-dad's elbow from when he felll and cut himself on thursday
after dinner, i helped our landlady jet wash our little community's shared blocked drains

just as i was getting changed out of drain splattered clothing, i found a third, friendly common toad trying to jump the step into our house

decided we didnt need to take toad 3 to the pond accross the fields, in the dark
so we relocated him to a damp gulley nearby

I didnt know toads live for 10-12 years (if they dont get savaged by bastardly cats)
i'd quite like a pet toad
they're pretty friendly and pretty.
we used to have HUGE toads at the farm years ago: noisy toads the size of small cats
but less furry: more warty
