manifesto of the moment
There is an expectation that as a fashionable photographer i am more interested in the superficial (look) of something, or some BODY ,
but i am primarily interested in what lies beneath,
i care about function over form:
personality over appearance.
i disagree with the premise that beauty is skin deep:
its impossible to be beautiful on the outside if the core is rotten (or boring)
There are too many photographers in the world,
and too many photographs.
i try to make work that stands out,
from the over-saturation: the bombardment of visual dross.
i aim for iconic images that will remain in your brain.
everywhere, every film, every song, every sunset, every 1970’s tv commercial, every news story, every THING is inspiration.
i love individuals and celebrate individualism.
I love unique
I love life
I love my wife
I love love
I hate herd mentality
I hate sheep (not the animals)
I hate conformity
I hate all religion
I hate that people have to write words about pictures
I hate anti-social medias
I hate hate
For everything that is mainstream and normal, there will always be an opposite:
the antithesis of usual
this is where you will find me.
