z leaves for uni

had planned to leave home at 11am

at 9am, got a wake up with Lucy saying 'we need to leave NOW!' (to make it to bournemouth for z's check in at UNI)

got there an hour late, 4 hrs through heavy student-check-in-day rush-hours traffic

fate saw z's best friend Lucas clearing into the same degree in film he's doing and even more significantly into the same 4 bed student house in a brookside-esque student village, that he was booked in.

z had forgotten his bag of bedding and towels and Lucas had forgotten his duvet so we had to go to Asda where there was manic-panic shopping with other families desperately clearing the shelves of any items new students living away from home might have also forgotten.

saw z into his new home for the next year

went for dinner with Lucas, David, zusanna, z, lady Lucy and well behaved snoop at cosy cafe (thankyou David and zusanna)

had to move the perou-mobile at one point and was disturbed to walk swiftly past a group of men who were audibly discussing robbing me

2hrs to get home driving at speed

been a tiring week

miss the z already.

when maximum goes back to uni next week it's just be me, Lucy and the dog

i HATE the term 'empty nesters'
