yesterday we saw some interesting culture in museum form

and requested some more adventure

so drove further away to the red waterfall

through floods and swollen rivers

not a motorbike

i said id never ride a horse again

i sat on this one though while it moved 1km to the falls from where we were parked, and back

just as we were cheering our driver for spectacular and skilled manoeuvring through a river in his Toyota Land Cruiser, we dropped deep, turning into a submarine

as the truck was filling with water, stuart got out the window and on the roof and i passed out the luggage, cameras and laptops

he we are casually awaiting rescue

truck dead

as it was being dragged out, it started to roll

here's me a nd stuart trying to stop that from happening with some counter-balance

could have been a LOT worse

kicking myself for not filming from inside the truck as we went underwater (i was kinda preoccupied with the impending disaster planning)

feel bad for the driver: it was his personal car

was supposed to leave for UB at lunchtime

instead, left the rest of the crew at a nice spa hotel and set off at 9.30pm for a 380km drive back to the city
