a bad night at the woods

last night one of our deer friends got tangled in our new fence and had to be shot as it couldn't be saved

this is a devastating tragedy to us: the fence was installed primarily to keep out hunters, and was supposedly designed and installed so deer could jump over it without a problem.

all deer have been jumping easily, since the fence was in, until last night

after a sleepless night, early to the woods with maximum and snoop to make drastic alterations to the fence.

difficult balance between keeping people out but letting deer in and out.

i'm taking this a large FAIL and it was my responsibility, but hopefully this is now resolved with only one very regretful deer death
