although these aren’t family heirlooms, they hold some significance to me because a lot my family was in print,
and they were subsequently made derelict / unemployed when desktop publishing appeared.
!
when that happened there were (wapping) riots and news stories.
which didn’t stop the inevitable, but it was noticed.

now it feels like many, many creative practices and professions are being lost and only the actual people involved are noticing, and there is no protest.
magazines, set builders, photo libraries, prop stylists, designers, editors, retouchers, PHOTOGRAPHERS to name only a few: all creative industries and practitioners are in trouble, with ai set to replace so much else too from solicitors, doctors, accountants etc…

i digress a little.

I’ve held these amazing brass print sets for some years.
I love them as objects of art and history.

Lucy loves them less, so they will be in our yard sale on 1st SUNDAY of August (4th August) in a few weeks as part of the annual 'faversham safari'

i hope an artist will find us and a good use for them.

i will also be selling some Ltd edition prints, some books and maybe even some magazines too, amongst other miscellaneous shabanga and antiques we’re clearing from our archives.

same Sunday: 4th August is also the faversham antiques market so it’s a great day to be in faversham finding treasure.
maybe we’ll see you here
